I'm a blogger, not a writing machine
So, you'll be happy to hear that I quit Medium. It was getting burdensome. It's a pleasant place to write in terms of aesthetics, but that's about it, really. There was a time when I was earning over £100 every month, for a few months. But in the end the pressure of having to keep up the quantity and quality of writing proved too much.
That's not what blogging should be. And that's why I've quit, I think. I allowed Medium to stop me from blogging, and change me into a writing machine. So I quit.
Whether or not I'll blog here regularly, I'm not sure. The ethos of Bear is obviously totally different to that of Medium - which is what will keep me around if anything.
Maybe in the new year I'll begin writing regularly again. I wouldn't say I'm burnt out - more like just a little weary.
