Why I like books to have short chapters
I suddenly decided I would read a novel. It will be good for me, especially in these horrible winter months.
So I have acquired the first of Richard Osman's books: The Thursday Murder Club. I have read the first chapter out of over one hundred.
I like a book with short chapters. I recently began a different book, not fiction, and its chapters are around 30 pages in length. That's too long, and when I realised this to be the case, I stopped reading it immediately.
I like short chapters because I'm a fan of conciseness. If a chapter is too long, it goes off on many tangents, no matter how relevant they might be. I like to keep things simple. One topic for one chapter.
You can read about atomic notes. Same principle.
And that's how I should blog, as well. One topic for one entry. I suppose this entry has been about atomic writing. Simple, concise.
